Is the Church of Destin the only independent Christian Church in the world? Well, it’s not, but there are many independent, charismatic, faith-based groups. With all the acronyms, “Christian Church” just doesn’t cut it anymore.

In Destin, we’ve got a four-year-old independent school with a strong church relationship. Our mission is to teach our young people to live their faith through the study of Biblical Studies and then to live their faith through the strength of Christ.

In Destin, we’ve got a five-year-old group that goes around and minister to the elderly. They offer spiritual food and help their visitors restore dignity.

In Destin, we’ve got a six-year-old group that teaches children about the value of poverty, but also teaches the value of freedom. They meet twice a week, usually in a luncheon program for their five group members.

In Destin, we’ve got a seven-year-old group that meets twice a week, sometimes in the evenings, to tell the truth. Their goal is to instill in their members the principle of truth and speak to them as if they were real people.

In Destin, we’ve got a family from a German speaking nation that is concerned about world politics. They also want to show their children about the values of the International Movement.

In Destin, we’ve got a group that meets once a week to pray and teach the spirit of God. And we also have an opportunity for someone to help with something and be baptized right there in the community.

In Destin, we’ve got a small group that offers consolation to the grieving, and we’ve also got a small group that provides fellowship to people who are discharging prisoners from prison. We’re going to get on the internet and start listing these groups as independent, because they’re not so independent after all.

If you’re traveling to Destin and have an agenda to go somewhere, we recommend that you go to Destin first, where they know the best, and then move on to any other destination. Otherwise, you will be lost in all the different churches.

There are some facts that can make the difference in the itinerary for your church. First, do not forget to check the affiliation with other independent groups in Destin. Just don’t leave out some of the groups out of ignorance.
